แผ่นกรองอากาศคุณภาพสูงสามารถกรองอนุภาคขนาดเล็กมาก ๆ (Small Particles) ได้เป็นอย่างดีตามมาตรฐานอุตสาหกรรม แผ่นกรองอากาศ HEPA นี้ จะสามารถกรองฝุ่นละอองที่มีขนาดอนุภาคใหญ่กว่า 0.30 ไมครอน (μm) เรียกได้ว่าเชื้อไวรัส แบคทีเรียต่าง ๆ ที่ล่องลอยอยู่บนอากาศ ก็จะไม่สามารถเล็ดลอดผ่านแผ่นกรองออกไปข้างนอกได้
